Before you start

Anist’s travel summaries organise official information into practical steps. Government authorities decide admission and certification; operating carriers decide transport acceptance.

The source hierarchy

For Indian export/import requirements, we start with AQCS, DGFT and Customs. For entry abroad, we use the destination’s government authority. For a cabin, hold or cargo condition, we use the operating airline. Local registration information comes from the relevant municipal authority.

A carrier policy is not rewritten as national law. A municipality’s service is not presented as a statewide requirement. Personal travel accounts can be useful questions to investigate, but they are not the rule source for these guides.

What changed in the source review

The October 2026 check identified the European Commission’s newer 2026 framework and certificate references. It also identified India’s 2025 Customs circular on arrival clearance and Singapore’s current Schedule III conditions. Older checklists can disagree with those updates.

Where a current circular and an older overview differ, the guide names the newer document and asks the reader to confirm implementation with the responsible office. It does not silently combine conflicting instructions.

Official sources: European Commission: entering the EU from a non-EU country · CBIC Circular 07/2025-Customs, 5 March 2025 · AVS: Schedule III veterinary conditions, April 2026

What these guides cover

The main scope is privately owned dogs and cats, starting in India or returning to it. Commercial transfers, adoption imports, assistance animals, other species and unusual movement histories can require different pathways. Follow the linked authority’s route for those cases.

The summaries are editorial information, not a veterinary examination, an official permit or a promise that a pet is eligible. We do not invent a professional reviewer, approval badge, airline partnership or guaranteed processing time.

Clear pages for people, search and AI tools

Each guide has a descriptive URL, a short answer, readable HTML, anchored sections, related guides and official source links. The site also provides structured article information, a sitemap and an optional machine-readable guide index.

These features make the information easier to discover and quote accurately. They do not guarantee a search ranking, a rich result or a citation by ChatGPT or another AI system. The official source remains the place to verify an operational rule.

Corrections and rechecking

Sources were checked on 25 October 2026. Before making a travel commitment, reopen the authority and carrier pages for the actual itinerary. A “last checked” date is not a promise that rules cannot change tomorrow.

If you find a changed rule, email internal@anist.in with the guide URL, section name and the official replacement link. Do not send private passport or medical documents just to report an editorial correction.
